Ze Doctor iz een ze Haus

An aspect of the Transformers movie universe that I enjoy is their take on Cybertronian organisms: besides the familiar anthropoidal characters, they have envisioned other silicon-based lifeforms that closely resemble those of Earth (such as Ravage and what appear to be Insecticons).

Since the Transformers see it fit to adopt the language and cultures of the Earth (as fitting to their own personalities), it's even more entertaining to see which ones they espouse, no matter how stereotypical they might be.

So here is the Doctor, or, as the toy deems him, Scalpel. Done in animated style by Derrick Wyatt, an actual designer/ animator for the Transformers: Animated series!

What To Know About the Global Warming Legislation

Only Warming Is On The Left

Climate Change: A switch of four Republican votes would have defeated Waxman-Markey, the Democrats' global warming legislation. But like the Clinton Btu tax, the bill could die in the Senate and turn the House over to the GOP.

What were these RINOs thinking? The GOP is supposed to be the party of low taxes and free markets. Rep. Mike Castle, one of the eight offered an explanation right off of President Obama's teleprompter.

"Nations around the world are surging ahead with emission reductions and developing new energy technologies," Castle, Delaware's at-large congressman, posted on his House Web site. "The United States should be on equal footing, if not leading this effort to remain competitive."

Castle may not have noticed, but China and India have no intention of marching with us over the cliff. They are building coal and nuclear plants while scouring the world for oil. Countries like Spain have found that alternative energy costs two jobs for every "green" job created. This bill makes us competitive only with Somalia and Bangladesh.

"Such a market-driven solution, according to the Center for American Progress, is estimated to bring a net increase of about $460 million in investment revenue and 6,000 jobs to our state," Castle tells his constituents.

The facts say otherwise. According to the good folks at the Heritage Foundation, Waxman-Markey from 2012 to 2035 will cost Castle's congressional district and his state an average gross state product (GSP) loss of $1.375 billion, an average personal income loss of $351 million, and an average nonfarm job loss of 3,265 jobs.
